Postie

I found this bike near the gas works in Bathurst. Isn't it awesome! I went to the bike shop around the corner, and the said it was a bike made in 1965!

It even has an old Australia Post sticker on the side of it.

Off again

Hi everyone, I've just realised how naughty I've been!
I've been off and on with random posts, and as soon as I realised that, i leave for another 3 days! But I guess it won't be too bad...
Walks on the mountain in the sunrise, cuddly fires sipping hot chocolate... Sounds pretty romantic! I'm going back up to the country again, for some fun, then coming back home.

I'll post you some photos when I'm back, but meanwhile-

I bought a bag in Melbourne and a pencil case from Typo to keep me going this year.

Sorry everyone, I can't find the website or shop for it :(

Melbourne

Hi everyone, I've just been away for a week in Melbourne, visiting family and sightseeing. We also went up to an awesome country town with millions of vintage shops and all that sort of stuff, visiting friends and going to a bakery.
Back in the city, we walked along Gertrude St, and found Cottage Industry, a shop that sells all the cute stuff around.

I love decorating jars, and here's the fourth one I've ever made. It's so addictive.

Envelope notepads

I always feel the need to write something in a special place. A DIY notepad would be perfect for your shopping list or diary, don't you think?

Here's how you do it:)

Fold the sticky top of an envelope over and trim along all the other 3 sides
Turn inside out so the pattern is outside
Cut 10 sheets of paper to size of the whole envelope
Fold in half and use a needle to prick 3 holes through the entire lot of paper in the fold, as well as the envelope, one hole at the top, the middle and the bottom
Sew through the 3 holes and tie a knot in the middle
 Your done!

Doodled jars

Everyone likes a bit of homemade glamor in their house, even if you use that glamor to make a jar for pasta or toys. This will brighten up your already awesome life.

Abbey Hendrickson has a blog and a book, both totally awesome! The blog, Aesthetic Outburst, and the book, You Are Awesome, both mention the fact that you should always feel awesome. The next posts that I will put up will hopefully make you happy. This idea was partly from her book

This is how you make a doodled jar

All you need is
An extra fine black permanent marker
A glass jar

Then you need to draw on the jar in any pattern, any symbol, anything.

Have fun:)
